Manufacturing Execution System GUARDUS MES and Its New Object Class for the Gantt Chart

The new Gantt charting solution incorporated in the Manufacturing Execution System of GUARDUS Solutions AG from Ulm, Germany provides even more comfort for complex project development. Due to the new object class of the GUARDUS MES Project Management module, users no longer need to use an interface to MS Project. From now on, one mouse click will display the planned activities in the MES. The project scheduler can now display the time dependency in various grids (years, months, weeks, hours, etc.), reschedule actions via graphical time bars, and monitor their completion. In this way, complex projects can be even more efficiently planned in-time and in-budget, controlled, and carried out along the value-added chain.

By means of the GUARDUS MES Project Management module, projects and their detailed processes can be comfortably planned, carried out, and monitored. Moreover, projects can be defined according to the APQP specifications (Advanced Product Quality Planning) or company-specific requirements. The target is to provide all kinds of information (responsibilities, deadlines, documents, etc.) in real time while monitoring functions that control the critical path respective to the time-critical milestones. Via a traffic-light function, the user always has an overview of all activities and is informed about the details of individual project processes and progress. In case of deviations, he or she can take corrective actions via the GUARDUS MES Action Management module and monitor their effectiveness. Moreover, the initiated projects can now be represented as GUARDUS MES’ own Gantt charts; the entered deadlines can be rescheduled in the graphical representation and automatically updated in the central database.
