2.4 Production Control
Production Control in GUARDUS™MES supports the planning of the succession of production orders. The planning is based on ERP data or manual input of data, which takes into account the current situation. If it is necessary to reduce lead times, GUARDUS™MES distributes orders to more than one capacity. If reduction of set-up time is required, different orders are combined. Subsequently, GUARDUS™MES dispatches the orders and reports the status change to the ERP system. During manufacturing, progress in orders will be documented and displayed. Deviations from production planning are reported by the tool in real-time. If a malfunction occurs, GUARDUS™ MES automatically blocks the forwarding of the units in question to subsequent production steps.
